Polina Kudermetova hasn't been up to much good this season since her time on clay courts. In fact, the Uzbek has not won a match since her qualifying defeat in Cincinnati a month and a half ago, despite pushing Kamilla Rakhimova into a three-setter in Seoul just last week.
Mayar Sherif has been stellar on clay courts this year as usual, including winning titles in Iasi and at WTA 125 events in Brescia and Contrexeville. However, she remains equally as poor on hard courts, so much so that the Egyptian has not won a match on hard courts since WTA 125 Canberra in January.
